Lawyer Jordan Daci, in an appearance on MCN TV, explained the cases under the law when a mayor can be dismissed from office. Daci said that after three months of absence, the municipal council can propose the dismissal of the mayor, but in Veliaj's case, the absence is justified.

Regarding the delegation of the duty to the vice-mayor, the lawyer indicated that it cannot be permanent and that no time limit has been foreseen. The lawyer said that Rama could dismiss Velaij without a decision of the Constitutional Court.

Regarding the absence for three months, the law states that the dismissal can be proposed by the Municipal Council, but according to the law, the absence would be justified.
