Prime Minister Edi Rama has not spared insults to farmers, who complain that they are left without selling products and that the state is not giving them any support.

But Rama has described as lack of knowledge and information the fact that farmers in the country throw away their products because there is no market for sale.

At the conference "Agriculture with Technology and Innovation", the head of government said that knowledge plays an important role in this sector. Rama referred to the throwing of cherries by farmers in the country, while as an example he brought other farmers who have earned income from these cherries, he said.

“Edhe këtu në territorin e bujqësisë sonë ka jo pak shembuj zhvillimi dhe suksesi. E gjitha lidhet me dijen sepse vullnet për të punuar tokën ka. Ata që dalin në dalin në televizor duke mallkuar shtetin, nuk iu mungon vullneti apo djersa,  jo. Por ajo ca bën diferencën është dija, e cila lidhet me informacionin dhe këtu i takon qeverisë të bëjë edhe më shumë. Por i takon edhe vetë fermerëve të bëjnë më shumë.

There is no need for anyone to listen to us, it is enough to take the trouble and watch how others do. There are images on TV of some farmers throwing cherries and shouting for subsidies and for the government, and this should be worrying if this were to happen to all the cherries in Albania. While there are others who are succeeding with these cherries. So what is the difference between the former and the latter? Some throw it away and some make high incomes. Then what should be done? Those farmers should take the trouble to go to those others and say ore how do you do it. "And the second belongs to the ministry to build these communication bridges to transfer the knowledge created by the people in the territory", he said. /CNA.al
