"Problems in the links of the state chain"/ Zhulali: There is no

Integration expert, Ilda Zhulali, listed today several issues that, according to her, affect the links in the state chain.

In an interview on 'Syri Tv', Zhulali emphasized the lack of transparency, competition, accountability, and security.

Zhulali added that in the report published by the European Council, these issues are all reflected.

"If you read what the European Commission has written, it says that the links in the state chain are broken. It starts with democracy and the elections that have been canceled, it continues with the Parliament that no longer functions as an Assembly, where the decisions of the Constitutional Court are not implemented, and where the chain of justice no longer functions. They say that this is a country where there is no transparency, competition, accountability and security.

Insecurity in Albania is so high that even the air is deadly, they have said this, because they have ascertained it in all their ways. What else do they need to say for us to understand what we see every day with our own eyes?

They say this is a country drowning in corruption, drugs and crime. A country where the public administration, which has been claimed to be undergoing reform for years, is filled with militants and incompetents. They say there are laws and strategies that are never implemented.

They tell us and themselves this to show that this is the country that has applied to become part of the European Union. We love Albania and the Albanians, because they are a pro-European people, but in terms of standards, we are light years away. They will not move from Brussels to build our state here. "Stability" is no longer discussed; today, something much more fundamental is discussed.

At the end of the day, they have always had a clear and consistent way of speaking. It has been so many years since Albania has progressed towards the EU, and this has happened because it has been far from the required standards. Rama embarked on an adventure with Vu?i?, promising a new era for the Balkans that would bring security and standards. Then he embarked on another project, which he was forced to abandon, and the European Parliament reminded him: “You embarked on this adventure, but do not continue it, because it undermines the stability of the Balkans.”

If you read the report, they say it all there.

Albanians do not need to read these reports, they live them every day, brutally, on their own backs. You do not need to be a tourist in Theth to be shocked when a tornado comes and destroys your house, and we are not talking about illegal houses, but about your property," Zhulali said. /CNA
