"Who will let you into Europe?!"/ Rama responds to citizens'

Prime Minister Edi Rama responded today to several comments from citizens on social media. Rama stopped short of one of the comments, which stated that he would not bring the country into the EU with his government.

"You have no shame, who let you into Europe?" the commentator wrote on social media.

Rama responded to the commentator by saying that it is not a matter of opinion and a request to close negotiations.

"You have your conviction. But it's not a matter of opinion. The thing is that what I say finds support. They want to close the negotiations in 2027," Rama said.

Rama further mocked the commentator, telling him that he might not believe him, but his comment was funny.

"What if it's you who's to blame? Not that you don't believe it, you might not believe it. But I feel sorry for you that you might not believe it. You're a little funny," Rama told him. /CNA
