Draft law proposed for financing agreement with the European Commission for the

The Albanian government has adopted the draft law proposal for a financing agreement between Albania and the European Commission that enables the 4-year program for the digital economy and society. The proposal was made in support of articles 81, point 1, and 100, of the Constitution, and article 17, of law no. 43/2016, “On international agreements in the Republic of Albania”, as amended.

The draft law is "On the ratification of the financing agreement, between the Republic of Albania, represented by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, and the European Commission, for the multiannual operational programme for the digital economy and society, in favour of the Republic of Albania for the period 2024-2027, within the framework of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III)", for review and approval in the Parliament of the Republic of Albania, according to the text and report attached to this decision.

In accordance with Articles 78, 83, point 1, and 121, point 1, of the Constitution, upon the proposal of the Council of Ministers, the Assembly of the Republic of Albania

DECIDED:

Article 1

Ratification of the financing agreement between the Republic of Albania, represented by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, and the European Commission, for the multiannual operational programme for the digital economy and society, in favour of the Republic of Albania for the period 2024-2027, within the framework of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III), according to the text attached to this law.

Article 2

This law enters into force 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. /CNA
