US State Department: Berisha may come to the US

American journalist Marc Caputo, who works in the US for the news agency 'Axios', has asked the US State Department a question, wondering whether opposition leader and head of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha can visit the United States of America.

In a post on the "X" platform, Caputo writes that he asked the State Department about Sali Berisha's visa status and was told that he can travel to the US.

Furthermore, journalist Caputo has also published the response received from the State Department.

"We regularly grant exemptions to facilitate travel for certain individuals to the United States, consistent with our international obligations and our national interests. As such, we will not allow our foreign policy interests or relations with Albania to be held hostage by politicized Biden-era decisions," the US State Department said in a statement sent to journalist Caputo.
