The Government approves the declaration of the Technology and Economic

The Albanian Government, through a Decision of the Council of Ministers, has declared a “Technology and Economic Development Zone” in Xhafzotaj, Shijak. The decision was taken in support of Article 100 of the Constitution and Article 4 of Law No. 9789, dated 19.7.2007, “On the Creation and Functioning of Technology and Economic Development Zones”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Council of Ministers.

DECIDED:

1. The declaration of a “Technology and Economic Development Zone” of the territory with an area of ??135,215 (one hundred and thirty-five thousand two hundred and fifteen) m2 and a construction area of ??53,022.3 (fifty-three thousand twenty-two point three) m2, part of cadastral area 3852, in Xhafzotaj, Shijak, consisting of parcels with property numbers and respective areas, according to the list and master plan attached to this decision.

2. The scope, boundaries, entry and exit points of the “Technology and Economic Development Zone” are defined in the master plan attached to this decision.

3. The activities that will be carried out in the "Technology and Economic Development Zone" are of the following types:

a) manufacturing industry;

b) vehicle and spare parts industry;

c) information and communication technology (ICT) industry;

ç) electrical and electronic equipment industry;

d) energy products industry;

dh) heavy industry;

e) light industry and agro-processing;

ë) processing and storage of goods;

f) trade and export-import;

g) services;

gj) other industries, in accordance with Albanian legislation.

4. The period of operation of the zone is 35 (thirty-five) years, with the right to renew up to 99 (ninety-nine) years.

5. The Ministry responsible for the economy makes available, in function of the development of the project, the immovable properties of the "field" type, located in cadastral zone 3852, in Xhafzotaj, Durrës, with property numbers 345/55 (total area 293 m2), 345/60 (total area 367 m2) and 345/62 (total area 760 m2), part of the technology and economic development zone, with a total area of ??1,420 (one thousand four hundred and twenty m2), according to the legislation in force.

6. The developer of the "Technology and Economic Development Zone" is the company "VERTIGO", sh.pk

7. The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, the State Cadastre Agency and the Albanian Investment Development Agency are charged with the implementation of this decision.
