Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha commented this Saturday on the 28-month prison sentence by the Washington Federal Court for former FBI official Charles McGonigal, related to the Albanian file.

Berisha said that the Albanian file was the dirtiest one, after he discovered the corruption of Prime Minister Edi Rama with the head of counter-intelligence of the USA.

While describing it as a crime of Macbethian proportions, the leader of the DP warned that there is no force that closes the McGonigal case in Albania.

"My friends, yesterday there was a trial in Washington. In this trial, there was only one file and that was the Edi Rama-McGonigal file. This was the dirty file, in which the Albanian prime minister, according to official American sources, had bribed the head of counter-intelligence of the largest country in the world, the USA. He had bribed her to use her for the destruction of the opposition, for declaring Sali Berisha non-grata without any facts, without any documents, without any data.

My friends, McGonigal, for whom Edi Rama's laros, must say that he committed the crime for his country, he committed the crime in Albania and against Albania.
