"District 10 is one of the best examples of the city's change in recent years."

This is what the mayor of Korça, Sotiraq Filo, said in a meeting with the residents of this neighborhood.

The candidate for the head of the municipality in the elections of May 14 singled out the biggest investments that have been made during these years, where undoubtedly the Children's City and the Sports Zone are the examples of how it turned from a swamp into a very important point of Korça.

"District 10 has a positive balance in terms of implemented projects. We started with the sewers to continue with the inner streets of the neighborhood and the systemization of the spaces in the blocks of buildings. The biggest projects of the municipality again belong to this neighborhood, starting with the remodeling of Rinia Park, which is the main green space of the city. To continue with the Town and the Sports Zone, two major projects very important in the way they transformed this space. A few years ago this place was a swamp, while now we have this fantastic space dedicated to the future of this city ", he said.

On the other hand, during his speech, Filo mentioned the thermal insulation project of the buildings, as a further step not only to give another image to the city of Korça, but also increases the value of the property and reduces the cost of heating.

"The thermal insulation project of the facades is another project that changes the image of the city. We have piloted it and we have seen how important this project is to be implemented throughout the city. This project will impact residents as it will reduce heating costs and increase property value. But on the other hand, thermal insulation also has a benefit for the city as it improves its image", emphasized Filo./ CNA.al
