The Electoral College decided today to uphold the KAS decision on the name of the coalition "Bashke Fitomje" on the ballot, overturning the latter's request that Sali Berisha be appointed as leader.

The General Secretary of the SP, Damian Gjiknuri, was asked today by the media about this issue, who did not spare irony and attacks.

"SP did not complain to the first KAS, to be fair. DP has appealed. SP is neither for nor against, because it does not have a vote. It's not the parties there, it's an independent electoral commission and I don't understand why they hide from the names, when the marriage is public. Does the partner hide the partner? I don't understand this thing, the political side of it, but they should be proud of Ilir Meta's name on the ballot. I don't know why these people from the pulpit are upset", he said.

Gjiknuri said that Sali Berisha does not like the partner he married politically and, according to him, for this reason he does not put Ilir Meta's name on the ballot.

"Now the law has defined it, it is not a matter of deciding a name, the problem is that the law has defined that the leading party of the coalition and the legal obligations are fulfilled by the leading party of the coalition. Now you don't like the partner you married politically, I can explain that, they should explain it to their members or their supporters", said the General Secretary of the SP./ CNA.al
