The arrested mayor of Tirana, who is facing 13 charges, 9 of them for corruption, is not resigning even after being remanded in custody by several court decisions.

Even though he is inside his cell in Durrës prison, he continues to spread propaganda on social media.

But this actually brings nothing but the revolt of commentators who do not spare any of their comments.

In his latest post, commenters point the finger at him, calling him a thief who has left nothing unscathed.

They don't even understand how he continues to write on social media after all the oppression and accusations of serious criminal offenses that weigh on him.

"Oh my god, close Facebook so I don't leave you"

"What a face you have, you thief who leaves nothing unspoiled," write the commenters.

There is no shortage of mocking comments either. One of them writes:

"Will you continue with these posts until 2040?"

While another writes:

"Why do you still write politician in your status?"

These comments would actually be numerous on Veliaj's social networks if filters were not used to delete them, as has happened in most cases. / CNA
