"I don't have the chance to start on equal terms"/ Petro Koçi withdraws from the May 11th race

Socialist Party MP Petro Koçi announced his withdrawal from the May 11 race through a status on social media.

Referring to his status, Koçi apparently has dissatisfaction with the party structures. Koçi says that the appointment of Blendi Gonxha in Tirana has shifted his political function in the area.

"The appointment of Blendi Gonxha as political leader in the area was a wise and appropriate choice. This change in leadership responsibility brought about a non-transparent shift and a lack of clear definition of my function in the area. My involvement in the party's organizational activity was cut off like a knife, never being notified of the daily calendar of meetings and conferences," writes Koçi. Continued.../ CNA
