EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato spoke today at the National Council for European Integration. Gonzato said that the European Union is preparing its position and an intergovernmental conference will be organized to open negotiations for groups of chapters 2 and 3.

" The opening of negotiations for chapters 2 and 3 is almost achieved. The EU is preparing its position, so that an intergovernmental conference can be organized as soon as possible. We support Albania's objective to open all chapters by the end of 2027. It is a process that is mainly coordinated by the government. The National Council meeting must be intensified.
"The government alone cannot succeed in this task without the support of the Assembly. There is no more time for procrastination. The EU Delegation is ready to support the Assembly to achieve this ," Gonzato said./ CNA
