"We do not discuss the 71 mandates"/ Rama: The votes are not for the SP, but for Albania

Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that next Sunday, May 11, the people will have an encounter with history. In an interview with Euronews Albania, Rama stated that the Socialist Party is not discussing obtaining 71 mandates.

"We as the Albanian nation, we as the people of Albania here, on Sunday have a meeting with history. It is not for the Socialist Party or for the swamp party, it is for history. The Socialist Party, 71 mandates are not discussed," said Rama.

Rama said that 71 mandates are not just a number, but a message of strength from Albanians in relation to Europe.

Rama added that a force must be created so that membership negotiations can be concluded by 2027.

"This is not about 71, but about a message of strength from the Albanian people in relation to Europe. For a message of strength to create a power here focused on negotiations until 2027. What has happened to us that does not happen to every generation. Fate brought us into the hands of closing the negotiations with the EU for two years, which until yesterday did not open the door," said Rama. /CNA
