The political leader of the Democratic Party for Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, in a recent television appearance commented on the primaries held last weekend by the DP. Këlliçi emphasized that the process was successful and that the primaries highlighted the young people of the DP who topped the lists.

Among other things, Këlliçi added that in the DP, MPs are elected by the membership, while in the SP, MPs are elected by the gangs.

"Anyone who had doubts about the primaries process got their answer on Saturday with that massive turnout. It's the young people who are leading in Tirana, it's the young people who are at the top of the lists in Albania."

"The DP has opened its doors, the vote is being counted and it has not moved. The entire process has been recorded, whoever has any doubts should check the boxes again. The DP's deputies are elected by the membership, in the SP they are elected by the gangs," said Këlliçi. /CNA
