In jail for buying votes/CEC gives the mandate to Fredi Beleri for Himara

The Central Election Commission has given the mandate of the mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri.

The candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition, Fredi Beleri, was left in prison for the charge of vote buying and was arrested two days before the local elections.

But in order to sit in the mayor's chair, Beleri must overcome another procedural link, the oath before the Municipal Council.

His accomplice, Pandeli Kokaveshi, accused of buying and selling votes, was also left in prison. 

Reactions to Beler's arrest have been many, the harshest being those of Greece.
