The former president of the country, Bamir Topi, has harshly attacked former prime minister Sali Berisha, making him responsible for the situation of the Democratic Party and the result of the elections.

In an interview with the media, Topi stated that the figure of Sali Berisha, who according to him is the most discredited of politics, needs a strong blow.

The former president further said that he sees Berisha as the greatest evil of the Albanian opposition.

" I know that the opposition has fallen into the conditions of a chronic illness, I say it must come out. The figure of Sali Berisha needs to be hit with force. With this tone and certainty, it is up to him to speak. We are not harming him physically, but politically. Berisha did not allow himself to be preserved. Today, Berisha is the most discreet figure in politics. I don't need to say other things. This situation in DP is the work of Berisha and some people close to him who have served him with the greatest inferiority, that's why it is in this state"

Today, I see Sali Berisha as the greatest evil of the Albanian opposition. Whether he runs away or not is up to him. Today, if there is a pillar of hopelessness about what will happen to the future of the Albanian right, it is Sali Berisha. It is the architect of evil within the right. The problem is that the whole trend of political developments revolving around that individual is a hopeless situation for the movement he represents. The problem is no longer with him but with a mass of people who follow him. Some of them are conscious, while others follow him with the idea that they can make a career near Berisha. Some people there see themselves in opposition to return to power. The maximum they claim, being close to Berisha, is to go to the parliament to receive a salary.
