Majlinda Angoni was officially relieved of her duties as prefect of Shkodra district today, and Holta Duda was appointed in her place.

The presentation of the new prefect was made by the Deputy Minister of Interior, Julian Hodaj, in a meeting with the prefecture staff and representatives of local institutions.

 

" I am here to communicate the dismissal of Majlinda Angoni and the appointment of Prefect Holta Duda. We have a special consideration for the role of the prefect, because she is the representative of the council of ministers in the region and connects the institutions. Normative acts are not simply the acts of the municipal councils but also of the local units themselves and the prefect connects these decisions as well as the coordination of local government. It is the point where all information is collected and addressed to the government. As well as addressing the committees, which are 13 or 14 of them. I congratulate the outgoing prefect and the new prefect ", declared Hodaj.

 

Former prefect, Angoni thanked her collaborators with whom she worked for 5 consecutive years.

" Thank you to all my colleagues for the 5 years we worked together. It is a pleasure that during these years the cooperation has been fruitful, although sometimes tiring and beautiful. I thank the Prime Minister for the trust given in a region with problems but that we have tried to solve these problems. It is a pleasure that today I leave the baton to Holta with positive energy ," said Angoni.

 

The new prefect, Holta Duda, pledged to continue her work with dedication to strengthening institutional cooperation and implementing government policies in the territory of the Shkodra region.

" I accept this task with gratitude. Today I accept this task, but I am burdened with great responsibilities, so that I will have the will and integrity to carry forward the projects that have been launched. Why not also raise my voice for new projects to be in the final goal, the increase of standards in the region towards European development. In my profession, I have had the human being at the center, and I will continue to have it, they will find an open door for transparency ," said Duda.

 

Angoni was the director of this institution for 5 years, while Duda comes from the field of medicine, after running for MP she takes on the role of prefect of the Shkodër district./CNA
