"Our destiny has come to join the EU"/ Rama: The door to integration

Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting today in the city of Gramsh. In his speech, Rama emphasized the May 11 vote, as part of the choice for European integration.

Rama stated that the fact that the people will go to vote does not make May 11th historic, but that the people will decide who will govern and who will form the opposition.

Rama said that this decision is historic for rapprochement with the West.

According to Rama, at this moment, fate wants the country's desire for integration to coincide with the EU's readiness.

 "In Gramsh there is a history and a tradition, that I assure you will continue working to bring a great company to many girls and boys. We will make it a reality sooner rather than later."

Beyond these, there is something even more important.

On May 11th, let's be aware. The more people join us, the more historic it is. It's not that the people will go to vote, but that the people decide who governs and who will be in opposition.

On May 11, the Albanian people will have to make a historic decision.

It is connected to our history and our future.

By this I don't mean my grandparents, but Skanderbeg and Ismail Qemali, who fought for an Albania that is part of the West. So that Albanians are treated with the same status.

This has come to us. Fate has it that our desire coincides with the readiness of the EU.

"The door to the EU does not stay open. It is the door of a large and rich house. You can keep knocking for years, but the door will not open. It is not that you are not ready, but that family must be ready to make you part of it," Rama said. /CNA
