DP leader Sali Berisha has reacted after the postponement of the court session for the Partizani file, where he was not present.

Berisha accuses justice institutions of being used politically by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Among other things, he called the judicial process for the Partizani file a "pyramid of fraud."

Berisha's reaction

The capture and use of justice as a political weapon is a key feature of corrupt autocratic regimes.

Today, the political trial begins at the GJKKO for the "Partizani" file, the end and the top of a pyramid of fraud.

Immediately after Edi Rama's public order at the SP Congress in April 2022 to SPAK to prosecute Sali Berisha, the submissive prosecutors sent 16 requests within a month, launching a 30-year investigation spanning 3 generations against Sali Berisha, up to his unborn grandchildren.

The political prosecutors relied on the false accusation of the former chairman of the PS Parliamentary Group Taulant Balla made in 2020, according to which Prime Minister Sali Berisha returned to his son-in-law land expropriated by the Italian authorities during World War II, i.e. allegedly public land from the territory of the “Partizani” club. Meanwhile, the Official Gazettes of those years proved that the land in question had always remained private land and had never been expropriated. However, after they investigated up to the archives of the first 100 years, ignoring the Official Gazettes that are online, after investigating the 20-year activity of the DP from 2005 to the DP candidate for mayor of Korça in 2023 if she had received sponsorship for campaign hats, after they held the chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania in illegal political arrest for 333 days, it turns out that:

1. There is no criminal fact for their accusation in the "Partizani" file. Jamarbër Malltez was not given a single square meter of public land.

2. The land always belonged to 5 private families in Tirana – one of which was the family of Jamarbër Malltez's grandparents – and that Taulant Balla made a false report.

3. There is not a single penny of public money wasted. The state has already benefited from the implementation of the law.

4. In this process, there is no official of any level who is suspected of any illegal action as they have strictly implemented the laws of the country.

5. There is no evidence, no testimony, no document to show that Berisha has made the slightest interference with anyone.

6. Although they claimed that there was a law or nominative VKM, Edi Rama's own servants have already claimed that there is no official act, no law or nominative VKM (completely different from Edi Rama who issued the Fields Law, 4 nominative VKMs to rob the high school land and give it to Bolino, the clientelist Law of the Port of Durres, VKM to rob the military naval bases or VKM to make his brother happy with 37,000 m2 of land and buildings on private land).

7. None of the private companies that developed the property had any public contracts and did not benefit from a single cent from Sali Berisha's government.

8. The only damage to public finances came from Edi Rama's abuse of office, which caused over 340,000 euros in damage to the Municipality's finances (certified by a final court decision), but SPAK does not even dare to call him as a witness, let alone hold Edi Rama responsible for the damage.

After 5 years of investigation of the 30-year-old vetting, they found that Sali Berisha and his wife have a total of 100,000 euros in savings from 54 years of work, and an apartment 40 m2 larger than the one they had during the dictatorship. And that he and his children have only followed the law.

The political prosecution, after this vetting, accuses Sali Berisha of passive corruption, declaring family solidarity and acts of charity for children in need as such. Specifically, they have declared as passive corruption:

1. The payment that my daughter, Argita Malltezi Berisha, made for a week's family vacation and 2 hospital bills

2. The charity of the daughter and son-in-law to cover the expenses for 10 years for 3 autistic families who have been treated at the Regional Autism Center, which was established and has been run for 20 years by Dr. Liri Berisha without any salary or reward.

3. Payments and legal proceedings in which Argita is a party and which are family loans.

4. The donation of 4,600 euros by the company "Homeplan" to the Ministry of Culture to cover the expenses of singers Ricardo Cocciante and Elhaida Dani who came to be decorated by the President of the Republic.

The prosecutors lied and declared them electoral activities when they did not participate in any political activity at the time.

But political justice will never be able to save Edi Rama from the end that awaits him and his power, built on crime, drugs, and the misery of Albanians./ CNA
