"Basha is not good for politics"/ Bregu: A group of us left the DP

Former minister and former DP MP, Majlinda Bregu, spoke today about some of the sensational events of the Democratic Party, one of which she considered the departure of a good group from the DP, which according to her happened with the drop of a pencil.

In an interview with Euronews Albania, Bregu said that Lulzim Basha took too long to understand the part that he does not do in politics.

Bregu added that an opposition party does not have the luxury of being ridiculous, unlike in power where you can have the luxury of making mistakes.

"A good group of us left the DP with a decision, with a stroke of the pen. None of us left the DP on our own, but we left like me, Ridvan Bode, Astrit Patozi, Jozefina Topalli and a bunch of MPs, a good group. The DP had a leadership with a hero model and a militancy very much in favor of the hero leader model, the main figure of the political legend. Then, because of this model, it failed to create something sustainable. I'm sorry to repeat, I have nothing personal against Basha, but he confirmed himself in the last elections: in politics, you either do it or you don't. It's pointless to prolong it - you either do it or you don't. It's not the Qamet that doesn't do it in politics, but Lulzim Basha prolonged this part of the understanding that doesn't do it in politics. It wasn't his fault, because the legendary leader gifted him the party, and when you have something as a gift, even pain doesn't do anything to you, because you see it as a toy. So for many years "They were wasted and I am sorry that the DP, with a clear conscience and without pain, killed a good group of politicians. In the opposition you do not have the luxury of being funny, unlike in power where you can have the luxury of making mistakes. This unfortunately happened with the DP," said Bregu. /CNA
