Meta: I proposed to Berisha the name for the Chairman of the Municipal Council

The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, disclosed the conversation he had with the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.

Meta said that PL will enter its candidates in the elections for the primaries that PD will do.

“Kryetari i ardhshëm i Bashkisë, i opozitës së vërtetë që do triumfojë dhe kryetari i ardhshëm i Këshillit të Bashkisë do të bëjë spektakël. Partia e Lirisë respekton primaret është risi e jashtëzakonshme, kemi kërkuar që sa më shpejt të realizohet ky proces. Kudo që ne kemi kandidat të cilët premtojnë do t’i përfshijmë në primaret e përbashkëta me PD. E rëndësishme që kandidatët të respektojnë njëri tjetrin, ai që përdor primaret për të sulmuar kandidatët e tjerë përjashtohet nga gara”, është shprehur Meta.

I pyetur për ndonjë emër konkret, Meta ka thënë se ia ka propozuar Berishës, por nuk e bëri publik për media.

"I have not had any discussion about the name that will be in Tirana or anywhere else. I proposed a name to Berisha, which he accepted with great pleasure. The next parliament of Tirana will be very important", Meta said further. /CNA.al
