Today, during a meeting with the leaders of the parliamentary groups, Speaker Lindita Nikolla made available the file of the Authority for Information on State Security Files, where it is said that a senior politician with the initials IM was an associate of the former State Security.

After the meeting, the chairman of the parliamentary group of the Justice, Integration and Unity Party, Mesila Doda, said that a law should be made that removes the dark past, while she asked Nikola to clean up the image of the deputies.

"After 32 years, we have among us people who have a dark past, this means that it is a failure of Albanian politics that we have not changed generations and brought in people who cannot be blackmailed. I believe that it is time for the new parliamentary session to start a new serious work not only with the proposals of the Authority, but with the removal of all persons with a dark past. The names must be made public, we can't continue to guess who they are. They should come up with names. I asked the Speaker of the Assembly to ask for the clean image of the 140 deputies", said Doda./ AE-CNA.al
