The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has reacted from prison about the 2025 draft budget.

Meta declares that this is the most anti-social budget that increases poverty and corruption.

According to him, the 2025 budget does not increase the salary fund for new increases, nor pensions, the category of the unemployed and the needy.

Full statement:

The budget for 2025, the most anti-social, which increases poverty and corruption.

1?. No addition to the wage fund for new wage policies.

Zero funds for wage indexation from price increases.

2?. Pensioners will be further discriminated against with this budget.

The fund for new pension policies for 2025 is expected to be only 1.6 billion ALL or an increase of 0.9% of the total social security fund.

This means that pensions will not increase even by 1% when only the inflation rate predicted for 2025 is 3%.

3?. Not only zero growth, but also a decrease in social care funds, including for families on economic assistance living in extreme poverty. From ALL 26.1 billion in 2024 to ALL 23.7 billion in 2025.

4?. Zero additional funds for the category of unemployed, while the number of unemployed increases.

So all the economic growth that is the contribution of all citizens and taxpayers will go to corrupt public investments at a cost many times higher than the real one to increase corruption.
