The Assembly confirms Albania's position that the denial of the genocide committed against the Bosniak population in Srebrenica by Bosnian Serb forces constitutes a violation of international law.

Meanwhile, it is underlined that the denial of this genocide promotes the phenomenon of impunity for war crimes and violates the dignity of more than 8 thousand civilians who were massacred in Sreberenica, survivors and their families, but also about 10 thousand Albanians killed during ethnic cleansing in Kosovo and 20,000 women raped by Slobodan Milosevic's Serbian regime.

On July 7, there will be a special session in the Assembly for this resolution and then it is expected to be voted by the deputies.

The head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla stated that a serious document will be drafted and representatives of the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina and relatives of the victims of this genocide will be invited to the session./ CNA.al
