Injured officers/ Lamallari: Anyone who raised their hand will suffer the fate

Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari visited the wounded officers in the hospital.

In a post on social media, Lamallari wrote that the attack on them is an attack on order and the state. Lamallari said that anyone who raises a hand against police officers will suffer the same fate as their instigators with Molotov cocktails.

As for the association of protesters, Lamallari said that it is only the first step on the path of no return they have chosen.

" I condemn in the strongest possible terms the vandalistic attacks and criminal behavior against State Police employees, in which three officers were injured while on duty. Police officers are employees of the state, citizens of the Republic and family members like anyone else. They are at the service of the law, public order and the security of every citizen, without distinction."

The attack on them is an attack on the state and the constitutional order. No one has the right to abuse in the name of the constitutional right to peaceful assembly and manifestation and turn it into flagrant violence with stones thrown at police officers. Each of them who today raised their hand against law enforcement officers will have the same fate as their inspirers with Molotov cocktails yesterday and who today hid their hands by not coming to parliament. Their escort by the State Police is only the first step on the path of no return that they have chosen in confronting justice and the exemplary force of the law.

I express my full support for every employee of the State Police who, with professionalism and self-restraint, continues to fulfill their mission in protecting citizens and the law.

"A speedy recovery to the two employees hospitalized at the Trauma Hospital, as well as their colleague from Police Station No. 5, who is receiving the necessary assistance at the QSUT ," Lamallari writes.
