The new leader of the DP?/ This is who Berisha entrusts with the leadership of

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha was asked on a television broadcast who he sees as his successor at the head of the Democratic Party or if he has a preferred name. Berisha replied that the mission of a party leader is to lead the force he leads to victory and not to create his successor.

Regarding the future leader of the Democratic Party, the chief democrat said that he will respect the decision of the membership. The leader of the Democratic Party further stated that none of his family members were involved in active politics and consequently no one from his family is a candidate to lead the Democrats.

"The leader of a political force has the duty and main mission to lead the party to victory and not to create his successor. It is not the duty of any leader, it is the right of the party members. I will respect the decision of the membership. There is no candidate within my family. My daughter follows politics from her private life. She did not enter the list either closed or open ", said Berisha./ CNA
