The political leader of the DP for Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, has revealed the entire scheme of theft in the Municipality of Tirana, for which he made the mayor Erion Veliaj responsible.

Invited to an interview on ACTV in Michigan, Këlliçi stated that Veliaj and his electoral staff, whose leaders are in prison, have massively stolen from Albanian citizens.

"Today, the discussion is when the head of the Municipality of Tirana will go to prison because of the thefts, because the farce that happened in the May 14 elections was dismantled.

Two of the main directors who were also part of Erion Veliaj's electoral staff, SPAK has aggravated their legal position by adding charges of money laundering.

Three of the main leaders of the electoral campaign in Tirana last year are in prison, another part is expected to go to prison, they had turned the Municipality of Tirana into a private construction site, they had turned it into a private company.

The case of theft of 100% public funds in the Municipality of Tirana is a unique case in the world. What Erion Veliaj has installed in the Municipality of Tirana, no one in the history of world politics has done.

So to steal 100% of public funds.

So this model of corruption and theft that we have seen in the Municipality of Tirana no longer has an Albanian who does not know that we had a structured criminal group there, but I am deeply dissatisfied with the work that SPAK is doing to discover and attack the factors and characters that have been in this theft.

We cannot claim that the entire chain of command of the Municipality of Tirana were thieves, all the directors were thieves, the electoral headquarters of Veliaj were thieves, money was thrown to buy votes and their boss has no information.

Erion Veliaj, who knows how many comments, likes and shares he receives per day, did not know that the electoral staff stole money from the Municipality of Tirana to buy votes. This was done by order of the head of the Tirana Municipality. I am not at all afraid of the battle in front of me. The battle ahead I know is fierce. Every day we are faced with a big machine of propaganda, lynching, swearing and insults from the media that, instead of making the funds of the Municipality of Tirana transparent, they sell us news about how beautiful the incinerator is, which does not exist, on the money of the citizens and taxes", said Këlliçi. / CNA
