A strong clash between journalist Klodiana Lala and Agron Shehaj regarding the initiative to collect 100,000 signatures in support of justice occurred on the show "The Unexposed".
During the discussion, Lala described this initiative as an action with no real effect for citizens, considering it simply a propaganda move in the service of Shehaj's political interests.
She emphasized that collecting signatures does not bring any concrete change to the justice system and only serves to raise the public profile of the political force it represents.
"They have no real effect. Tell me what effect it brings to our system?" Lala said, insisting that the initiative is more of a strategy for political survival than an action with real impact.
On the other hand, Shehaj admitted that the initiative has no legal value, but defended it as a form of public awareness. According to him, the collection of signatures aims to show domestic and international opinion that Albanian citizens support justice.
"It is a testimony, a sensitization," declared Shehaj, comparing the initiative to protests that, according to him, do not always have a direct effect, but serve to raise awareness.
The debate between them became further tense when Lala insisted that the initiative is simply a means to stay on the political scene and secure votes, while Shehaj opposed this statement, demanding that the importance of public awareness not be minimized.
Studio debate
Klodiana Lala: They have no real effect. Tell me what is the real effect that it brings to our system? What do you achieve with these firms?
Agron Shehaj: Who told you that it has legal or real impact? What result does a protest have? It is a testimony, awareness.
Klodiana Lala: So, a political movement that shows that you are in the market, propaganda for your political force, that's it.
Agron Shehaj: Did I say it has legal value?
Klodiana Lala: Sir, this is all a move to stay in the market as a political force. It's good to be in the public domain and get votes. But it has no real effect on the system or on the citizens.
Agron Shehaj: What real effect are you talking about? Give meaning to the words you say.
Klodiana Lala: I'm very clear, you want to avoid it. Tell the citizens why you collected these signatures.
Agron Shehaj: To show public opinion and internationals that Albanians are with justice. Why don't you like this?
Klodiana Lala: You cannot impose your opinion and your movement on me. What did the Americans say to you, Mr. Shehaj, when you sent the 100 thousand signatures?/ CNA
