Manja presents the SP's position on Balluk: Allegations that the Assembly is obstructing justice are political
Socialist Party MP and Chairman of the Laws Committee, Uls...

Socialist MP Ulsi Manja, appointed as rapporteur for the SP parliamentary group for the report regarding the issue of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, shared details of the majority's position.
In his speech, Manja stated that so far there are no new circumstances or other criminal offenses from the investigations that would lead to the severity of the security measure, while adding that there is no risk of evidence being destroyed.
"The factual circumstances of the case are such that in August and September 2024 and June 2025 there are three criminal reports for the offense of 'violation of equality in tenders'. Regarding the aggravation of the security measure, this provision requires the existence of new circumstances that prevent the regular development of the criminal proceedings. In our assessment, if the expansion of the investigation requires changing the measure to arrest, then everyone would end up in detention. But the nature of the criminal offense remains the same and there is no new offense. On the risk of tampering with evidence, today we are talking about there is no accusation of perverting the course of justice. There is no direct or indirect evidence, where Balluku has used her influence to tamper with the evidence at her disposal. The offense against her is of an administrative-criminal nature." /CNA
