The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, announced today that pension indexation will begin on July 1.
Speaking after the government meeting, Malaj also shared the amount that has been made available for this act.
"A fund of 872 million lek has been made available," said Malaj.
The minister also revealed that starting next year, pension indexation is expected to be carried out in April.

The plan for approving indexation was announced on June 26 by the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj.
According to the minister, this concerns old-age pensions and special pensions, a change from which around 900 thousand people benefit.
"As of July 1, 2026, we will index pensions by 2.7%, old-age pensions and special pensions or even maternity benefits are about 900 thousand beneficiaries," Ibrahimaj said. /CNA
