The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, stated in the Assembly that the real spirit of the protest is an “anti-establishment” spirit. Balla said that a new party will not be born from the protest, while condemning the removal of the Israeli flag from the embassy.

Among other things, he stated that this protest lost its initial cause and has changed its identity. According to him, the organizers have no legitimacy and no transparency. Further addressing the protesters, Balla stated that they do not accept the DP as their mediator with the government.

"The real spirit of the protest is an anti-establishment spirit. A new DP will not be born from this protest. Only new ideological parties can be born from this protest. For Albanians, anti-Semitic language is unacceptable, the removal of the Israeli flag is disturbing. Albanians have not had the habit of attacking other countries. Albanians defended Jews from the Nazis. This protest lost its initial cause and has changed its identity. The organizers have no legitimacy and no transparency. There is concern as a member of this Assembly about the presence of radical, anti-Western, anti-American, anti-Semitic elements. Bring out the names, say what you have done before in your life. Don't get involved with narrow interests. The DP does not have the legitimacy to represent this protest. We do not accept the DP as your mediator with us.
