Former Democratic MP, Edmond Spaho, has responded to a reaction made by former Deputy Minister of Finance, Irena Beqiraj, regarding the positions on a possible resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Spaho writes on his Facebook profile that, unlike Beqiraj's claims of two-sided positions on his part, Rama should not leave office at this moment when the country is close to European integration, while he does not hesitate to remind him of his past in politics.
"Irene, did you read my post, with the one with the glass or the one without the glass?"
Sorry, you're confusing onions with potatoes.
Nothing I have said about Rama in the past is without merit and I say it again today. In my post I wrote that Rama should have left long ago for the damage he has done to the country. But you are not reading this because your glass has been broken.
I tell Rama not to run away from the pressure of neo-Marxists, Islamic fundamentalists, Epirus sycophants, Tetovo and Pristina mosques, proletarians from all over the world who have no backs in their country and want to overthrow Trump in Tirana, fundamentalist environmentalists who, for the funds they receive, want only wild birds and animals in Albania, those who want to sow division among Albanians in the region and those who do not want the country's European integration.
Whether you and I like it or not, Albania is very close to European integration, whether by merit or for geopolitical reasons. We will all be held accountable before history if we burn this opportunity for Çelo's mustache.
You could be part of the list of 500 assembly members who claim to govern post-protest Albania. I don't believe this nonsense that you believe.
I am not part of any list, neither the Assembly list nor Saliu's or Edit's lists. I am free and speak according to my convictions, without seeking any reward.
Irene, who should I believe, Irene, the deputy minister and customs director, who when she came to the Economy and Finance Committee swore an oath on Edi Rama's head, or Irene of the 500 assembly members, the joker of progress, who calls for the destruction of all institutions and the leadership of Albania with a provisional government that will be chosen by lot?
As for shame, when you don't have to jump from one chair to another, why should I be ashamed of sitting in only one chair, the real one.
One piece of advice, drink as much water as possible during protests. The mind is like a grain of wheat and in the heat it starts to leave you.
Good luck in the madness you've entered!", Spaho writes./cNA
