Defeat in Shkodër and Tropoja/ Berisha: I do not surrender to gangs

The leader of the "Together We Win" coalition, Sali Berisha, has declared that he will not resign after the deep defeat in the May 14 elections.

Asked by journalists about the defeat in Shkodër, Berisha said that it is the ugliest example in which Prime Minister Edi Rama was voted in as if surrounded by gangs.

In harsh tones, Berisha declared that he never retreats from gangs and state crime.

"Shkodra voted under true occupation. All the "polls" of our opponents, as well as ours, put Spahi 14-16 points ahead. If you or anyone else thinks that Sali Berisha is giving up, see his ear without a mirror. I never back down before gangs and state crime. Shkodra is the ugliest example in which it was voted under siege by Edi Rama's gang. Colossal amounts of tens of millions of euros were used in Shkodra, and I am convinced that the citizens of Shkodra will not accept the choice of crime," said Berisha. / CNA.al
