The serial loser starts the campaign/ Seeks votes after splitting the PD

The serial loser of Albanian politics, Lulzim Basha, who wants to become the chairman of the Democratic Party again, has today started the electoral campaign for the July 29 elections.

Basha says that he started the campaign from Kruja, as he says that this city is a symbol of endurance, pride and unity.

After sending the Democrats into defeat and disunity, he again demands that citizens leave the Democratic Party in his hands.

For the state in which the PD finds itself today, the sleep and mathematics expert blames former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, to whom he mentions the "non-women" sanction imposed by the USA.

It is an extraordinary honor and respect to start this process within our political family from Kruja, a symbol of endurance, pride, and unity. I come before you to ask for your support to lead the Democratic Party through a difficult and challenging time.

The Democratic Party does not belong to me, nor to any other individual, but it belongs to the Democrats, who have protected it in difficult days and after every challenge managed to make it even stronger. I am convinced that this will happen again, because this is what most Albanians expect from us.

We are faced with a campaign on the verge of a civil war, with an arsenal of the dirtiest tools, the lowest methods, to force the PD to enter into a conflict with the USA, to force the PD to become a shield of the personal problem of an individual.

What is sanctioned today in the DP laws and what I want to reconfirm once again is that there is no place in the decision-making bodies of the Democratic Party for anyone, leader, former leader, future leader, who is declared non grata by the USA.

What is important for today and the future of DP is that it will remain loyal to Euro-Atlantic values ??and national interests.

We will make a connection with the historical right, with the big doors that laid the foundations of the Albanian state, with the free and democratic people who were the first line of communist persecution, with the contributors after the 90s, with all the excluded and political victims during these 30 years, to build together a complete history of the Democratic Party.

Participatory democracy, the broad involvement of party members, citizens, intellectuals, women, entrepreneurs and interest groups in building the best alternative.

The Civic Alliance for Democracy will be our coalition to free the economy and advance the constitutional changes that will undo those of 2008, we will enable open lists, vetting of politicians, diaspora voting and the limitation of mandates.

Today this is a new mission, perhaps the most important since the creation of this party.

The Democratic Party will belong to all democrats, from the founders to the youngest among us. A modern party that reflects society and its needs, with young men and women, with honest professionals who love their country.
