The candidate for the chairman of the Democratic Party, Gjergj Hani, has revealed that he has decided to run in this race as he sees the DP in a miserable state.

As for his opponent, Hani said that Basha is taking a social-democratic stance that is inclined to make agreements for the protection of interests and does not have a clear platform for parting with the past.

"I decided to run because the DP is in a desperate state. Only Basha's point of view for the reconstruction of the party would not be enough.

From him I do not see a clear platform for parting with the past. I expected a different approach with the Democrats.

Basha's attitude seems to me to be more social-democratic, which is inclined to make agreements in general for interests", said Hani.
