Hasimja formalizes withdrawal from the race/ "The process is closed, I

Political scientist Ermal Hasimja, through a status on social networks, has made official his withdrawal from the race for the leadership of the Municipality of Tirana.

Hasimja states in his post that the process is closed and expresses support for candidate Florjan Binaj, supported by the DP and allies.

 

" A few days ago, I expressed my desire to be the candidate of a united opposition for our Tirana. The process was closed. I wish Florian Binaj success and I fully support him for the good of our city and the capital of the country.

Tomorrow I return to my previous life. I will continue to do my work as an educator with the younger generations, in television studios and other media, and if one day the right conditions are created, also in political engagements that align with the principles I believe in.
The unexpected and surprising encouragement and support I received from hundreds of acquaintances and strangers shows me that, just like me, hope awaits its day to reappear," Hasimja writes./ CNA
