Electoral crimes from May 11/ Celibashi: Task force with SPAK and the

State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi described today the joint task force created with the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) and the General Prosecutor's Office to investigate electoral crimes from the May 11 race as a beneficial initiative for the electoral process.

Invited to the show 'Log.', Celibashi stated that he and the CEC are part of the process and as such cannot comment on the continuity of the electoral process.

Regarding the international reports on May 11, Celibashi said that they should be read as they are and added other words.

"The CEC and the Commissioner are part of the observation. I have my own opinion on this, but my assessment of the electoral process would not be credible. There is no need to add more words to the reports of internationals. Some things are clearly written. It should be read as written. My truth is that these elections produced a government voted for by the citizens. When the opposition considers the elections a farce, there is something wrong. The CEC-SPAK-General's Office task force was an initiative of 3 institutions, not instigated by any external force. It has been a positive and beneficial experience for the electoral process, at least it did not harm the process", said Celibashi. /CNA
