Race for Tirana/ Muçollari: Moment for change, candidate to be supported

Member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party of Albania, Grigels Muçollari, commented on the latest political developments in the country and the race for the Municipality of Tirana.

Regarding this race, Muçollari, in an interview with Euronews, emphasized that this is the moment to make a change so that all opposition forces support the candidate that the DP will nominate for the early elections in the Municipality of Tirana and 5 other municipalities.

"The DP has not come up with a name that this is our candidate, so it was necessary to take the time to discuss with other parties, we hope to have a name that is supported by all opposition forces. The problem today is with the majority. Does the opposition have problems? There are endless ones, but they are not the problem. The problem is the way elections are held, how the state is used to manipulate and steal elections, at the end of the day it is an entire state that controls the elections. We are facing the elephant in the room and we need to solve the issue of how to bring the elephant to its knees.

"If there is a moment when we need to make a change, it is to go beyond ourselves and come up with a candidacy that is supported by all opposition parties," Muçollari declared.
