The Final of the National Albanian Language Competition, Manastirliu: A Great

The grand finale of the third edition of the National Albanian Language Competition for 9th graders took place, where the two finalist schools faced each other in an exciting challenge: “Qamil Guranjaku” from Elbasan and “Selim Alliu” school from Dibra. It was a great celebration, where the emotions were just as great.

The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Education and Sports Ogerta Manastirliu, students, teachers, parents and many other guests.

This competition is to show how students speak, write and think in Albanian.
Over 11 thousand students from 700 schools across the country participated in this competition, where the 20 best schools competed on a national level.

" It is a great emotion and pride to be together for the closing of this two-month journey where, with 700 schools, about 11 thousand students have competed through their knowledge of the Albanian language in this national Albanian language competition. It is a moment of celebration for the Albanian language where we have discovered many talents, your passion above all for our beautiful language through the many elements and components that this competition has offered. We have seen how much you love the language, how much you contribute that through learning the Albanian language and what your teachers have taught you, you know how to convey it so well, communicate but also create such beautiful innovative projects. In this beautiful competition for the promotion and preservation of the Albanian language, there are no losers, everyone is a winner and you are all a team of winners who are our pride. So I want to convey three initiatives that we have started but will deepen. First, the network of national competitions for all subjects has already become a priority for us and starting next year there will be no "We have not just an Albanian language competition but an Albanian language festival and we will also combine it with the science and innovation festival for high schools. Our long-standing initiative to enrich the library fund in schools will be expanded to all schools, so the 'My Library at School' initiative will continue next year in more than 500 schools. And the third is an important program for us which we have extended to 200 schools in the country and in the next two years we will extend it to another 400 schools and it is the Art, Craft, Sport program ," said the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu in her speech.

At the end of the final, the winner was the 9-year school "Selim Alliu" from Dibra./ CNA
