"Maritime safety with international standards"/ Balluku: Port

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, spoke from Vlora about maritime transport. In her speech, Balluku said that a clear functional division of ports has been made and integration into international networks will take place.

Balluku further said that maritime security is in line with international standards. The Minister said that in the last 10 years, 8.5 million passengers have arrived by sea and in this decade, the port infrastructure has undergone a complete strategic transformation.

" The maritime sector lacks digital. A clear functional separation of ports. Another pillar of the strategy is integration into international networks. Part of the strategy is also digitalization in all maritime traffic.

And most importantly, maritime safety in accordance with international standards.

8.5 million passengers in the last 10 years. In the last decade, port infrastructure has gone from minimal maintenance to a complete strategic transformation.

We are practically on the verge of launching a powerful shipyard, a few miles from the city of Durres, in an industrial area. The depth of this port is 13-16 meters. It will increase the capacities of the maritime industry in Albania several times , "said Balluku./ CNA
