Government's forgiveness of fines/ Kalaja sues SPAK, Council of Ministers:

DP candidate for deputy, Aulon Kalaja, spoke after leaving the SPAK premises.

Kalaja announced that he has filed a criminal complaint with the Council of Ministers regarding the forgiveness of fines a few days before the elections.

Kalaja further described this as an abuse of power and said that it influenced the election results.

Kalaja has requested an investigation into the case and its classification as an electoral crime.

 

" I have addressed SPAK with a criminal complaint against the Council of Ministers regarding the forgiveness of fines just 2 days before the elections. I believe that the Council of Ministers has abused its power. The law stipulates that 4 months before the elections until the formation of the new government, you cannot make policies about fines. I think it influenced the outcome of the elections. I am in favor of forgiveness of fines, but you cannot make it an election period.

"SPAK should investigate this case as an electoral crime ," said Kalaja./ CNA
