Ilir Alimehmeti u tërhoq nga gara, pas rezultatit të djeshëm të primareve, duke bërë kështu që Belind Këlliçi të jetë kandidati i Partisë Demokratike në zgjedhjet vendore që do të mbahen në 14 maj.

Pas deklaratës së përbashkët për shtyp, Këlliçi ka reaguar me anë të një statusi në rrjetet sociale.

Ai deklaron se kjo është era e re e politikëbërjes, me garë dhe bashkim.
