Prime Minister Edi Rama

At the conclusion of the SEMI conference "Culture will save the world", Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed optimism for cooperation with Georgia Meloni, the new prime minister of Italy, after the center-right won the elections.

In an interview with the Director of SkyTg 24, Giuseppe De Bellis, Rama said that he does not believe there will be problems with the future Italian government.

He emphasized that the former Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, described as Meloni's 'father', would have been a good socialist.

"Shqipëria është një Itali, veçse pak më e ngatërruar dhe nuk mendoj se do të kemi probleme me qeverinë e ardhshme italiane. Nuk kemi pasur kurrë probleme në të kaluarën me asnjë lloj qeverie, si me të majtën ashtu edhe me të djathtën. Sepse ne i përkasim të njëjtës histori, Berluskoni do të kishte qenë një socialist i mirë. Në Itali ka diçka të mirë për Shqipërinë, sepse cila do të jetë në krye, si e majta dhe e djathta, për ne nuk është problem", deklaroi kreu i qeverisë.

Gjithashtu, Rama foli edhe për marrëdhëniet e Berluskonit me ish-kryeministrin shqiptar Fatos Nano.

"It does not depend on the political direction. I think of Berlusconi who is the representative of the right. Berlusconi had a very good relationship with Fatos Nano. There were periods when there were right-wing governments in Italy, while in Albania they were left-wing. We have early historical ties, there are no political divisions. Everything you see in Tirana as a cultural monument was made by Italian architects. There are no recipes for the right and the left," the prime minister emphasized./ BA - CNA.al
