DP MP withdraws after defeat: These were the last elections of my active career

DP MP Edmond Spaho has announced that these were the last elections of his active career in parliament.

Spaho has stated that he is shocked by the results of the May 11 elections.

Among other things, he emphasized that he hopes that the DP will find the strength to overcome the difficult situation it is in and manage to return to hope for Albania.

"Dear friends,

I am shocked by the results of the May 11 elections!

These elections were the last of my active career in Parliament.

I would like to endlessly thank my family for the great sacrifices they have made over the past 35 years to create the opportunity for me to pursue my passion.

I thank the members and supporters of the Maliq and Korce District branches of the Democratic Party for their continuous support. Without them, I would not have achieved anything in politics.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the citizens who trusted and voted for me over the past 35 years and apologize for not being able to do more for them.

I wish the Democratic Party the strength to overcome the difficult situation it finds itself in and to return to hope for Albania.
