Statements/ How Veliaj "stole" Rama's support
Erion Veliaj and Edi Rama

After a week of surprising silence, Erion Veliaj and Edi Rama have decided to speak, a few hours apart from each other, about the unheard scandal of the directors of 5D in the municipality, who are accused of taking over 20 million euros of public money , their private company.

While the dilemma of whether the leader would sell or protect his dolphin was circulating for a week, Rama's words were the public epilogue of this question:

"I wholeheartedly agree with Erion's position." So one thing is clear: at least verbally he has embraced Lal. How did this happen and why did Edi Rama take this decision that if his own were not enough, he would put the violence of the municipality of Tirana on his back. A version can be found in the defense strategy that Veliaj has chosen, using with "words and commas" the arguments that the boss told the public when he was in the same situation.

So, Edi Rama, at least publicly, could not come out and say that the principle that applies to me, that my friends have eaten apples and pears behind my back, is not valid for others. He could not deny the logic of his own making that good works were done despite someone having evil intentions. In his logic of alibis, Erion Veliaj has chosen to maintain the first line of defense. And to emphasize this to the extreme, the mayor still in office has chosen to make an analogy in his text that he did not know anything about Qato, Molla and Tushe.

Same as Rama who didn't know anything about Ahmetaj:

"Now there is a question, as brutal as it is banal, that is often raised by medieval inquisitors, modern insurance and media prosecutors in television booths, whenever SPAKU acts against a certain official: How is it possible that Edi Rama did not know this and how it may happen that even his deputy, a person who is currently being sought by the justice system, will commit these great crimes for which he is accused, without the blessing of the prime minister" said Veliaj in his apology.

But the parallel that Erion is as innocent as Edi in the affairs when the subordinates of both are caught red-handed, does not end there. Lali continues: He justifies his lawsuit with that of Edi Rama.

"Excuse me! But why, in which part of his function determined by the Constitution and legal provisions, should the prime minister intercept his deputy or any other official, with whom the work connects him, when the latter exercise the influence of the position and use the connections theirs with X or Y, to profit illegally?!”

...How can it be so indisputable, that a prime minister, or in my case, a mayor, is aware of everything that has nothing to do with his function defined by law or with the objectives of a thousand and one daily problems of his work?!”

As if these comparisons are not enough, which have no value to convince the public, but only to put pressure on the boss that he cannot sell on the same principle for which he defends himself, Veliaj also uses Rama's argument that he personally did not put anything in his pocket.

"...waiting for the final word of justice for them, I myself can't wait to look you all in the eye and tell you that no illegal personal gain has ever connected me with them and nor with anyone else in my position as the number one servant of our Tirana".

After this perverse tactic, could Rama come out and say that apples and pears cannot be eaten behind Beliaj's back, while it can happen to me?

Of course not. That's why the prime minister supported "the right attitude of Erion today". With the approach that Veliaj chose, he won at least the public support of Rama, even if at the high price that no one knows anything. Now it remains that Ahmetaj, Koka, Blako, Qato and Molla were ignorant and someone below has introduced it to them as well./ Lapsi.al
