At the meeting of the Conference of Speakers, the chairman of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, requested that the urgent interpellation with Prime Minister Edi Rama on the "Aruba" issue be included in the agenda of the plenary session.

Bardhi said that the requests for the two debate motions should be put to a vote in the Assembly.

"You have brought the agenda, but two issues that you are obligated to address are missing.

First, the urgent interpellation with the Prime Minister. This should have been the first item on the agenda, and by not including it, you have flagrantly violated the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly.

Second, it is true that we did not find consensus on two motions in the Conference of Speakers. However, the Rules of Procedure require that the motion requests come to the Assembly and be put to a vote.

"You, Mr. Speaker, surprisingly, continue to violate the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure. It has been a month since you received the confidence of the majority and, after that, you should have behaved as Speaker of the Assembly in respect of the Constitution. But you do not do this, on the contrary, you systematically violate the Constitution," said Bardhi.

 

The opposition has requested a motion with debate on the OLAF reports regarding the misuse of IPARD funds for agriculture. Bardhi said that the majority does not want a debate because the funds were benefited by Suel Çela's father.

 

" We have not taken any other path, except the path where you established the famous "Xhafa" commission."

There is no contradiction in our request for a motion with debate and the establishment of a special committee. But this is what happens when there is a half-hearted reading and in the meantime all you have in mind is how to reject the request.
