Celibashi: Basha's name as chairman on the ballot is a fraud

The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, spoke this evening about the non-registration of the Democratic Party in the May 14 elections.

Journalist Blendi Fevziu asked him if he sees the listing of Lulzim Basha's name as DP chairman on the ballot as a fraud, while Celibashi agreed with this view.

“Jam plotësisht dakord me narrativën tuaj, ndaj absolutisht të njëjtën pikëpamje, por ajo çfarë ka më shumë rëndësi dhe që prevalon përpara çdo lloj parimi apo principi, është zbatimi i ligjit. E ka zgjidhur ligji, ka vendosur ligji çfarë është e drejtë. E them sinqerisht, kam gjithë keqardhjen për këtë situatë. E kuptoj shumë mirë, e kam aftësinë për të kuptuar rëndësinë e këtij momenti, por në fund të fundit duhet të zbatohet ligji. Nëse zbaton ligjin  nuk dëmton pluralizmin e as strukturat e demokracisë”, u shpreh ai.

Fevziu e pyeti më tej se cila është zgjidhja për këtë situatë të krijuar, ndërsa kreu i KQZ-së deklaroi:

"It should have been fixed. Even today they had time. I told the representatives of the Democratic Party, headed by Lulzim Basha, that if they are interested in addressing this issue, they could take all the time and not risk anything"./ CNA.al
