Albert Mëlyshi is sworn in in Mirdita/ The opposition also takes over the presidency of the Municipal Council

The new mayor of Mirditë municipality, Albert Mëlyshi, officially took office today. Mëlyshi was sworn in as the mayor of Mirdita, while the Municipal Council was also constituted.

The opposition joined and managed to take the chairmanship of the Municipal Council, this chairman was elected Aleksandër Picaku with 11 votes.

After the oath, Albert Mëlyshi went to the offices of the Municipality, where he was received by his predecessor Ndrec Dedaj.

Mëlyshi asked for the cooperation of all parties without political overtones for the development of Mirdita.

We remind you that in the local elections of May 14, Albert Mëlyshi won the municipality of Mirdita with 6355 votes, or 55.19% of the votes, while the candidate of the Socialist Party, Ndrec Dedaj, received 5160 votes, or 44.81% of the votes./ CNA.al
