The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has spoken harshly about the economic situation in the country, while he has made accusations against the government.

In a meeting with civil society activists, Berisha said Albanians are facing the biggest price increase since 1992.

He stressed that the government is mocking the pain of people who claim they are buying food 100% more expensive than in 2014 and have lower wages.

“Shqiptarët po përballen me rritjen më të madhe të çmimeve që nga viti 1992. Po të dëgjoni nesër Parlamentin dhe propagandën, ata janë kompensuar dhe nuk kanë lënë asnjë lloj dhimbje nga kjo rritje, por po t’i referohemi po institutit të statistikave, tregon se këtë vit ndihma ekonomike ka qenë 2% më e vogël se vitin e kaluar.
